This intimate experience is hosted by a local couple, welcoming you to share a moment of local life on Lake Saimaa.
Our charming fishing boat Juno takes you across the tranquil waters of Lake Saimaa to a small island, where a set table awaits in the heart of nature. Here, a carefully prepared four-course meal is served outdoors, surrounded by the peaceful lakeside landscape.
During the boat journey, you can enjoy the surrounding lake scenery and it's quiet beauty. With a bit of luck, you may even spot the rare Saimaa ringed seal.
The meal is prepared on site by our chef Ilkka, using the best ingredients of the season, sourced from nearby forests, waters and small-scale producers. Each dish reflects the surrounding nature and local traditions - presented in a simple yet thoughtful way.
Dinner is served under a light canopy, with the lake always close by. A composting toiletis available on site. In case of unsuitable weather, the experience can be resceduled or hosted in our athmospheric log house. Non-alcoholic drinks are included, and we are happy to recommend suitable wines.
