EXPERIENCE THE ENCHANTING LAKE SAIMAA AND THE FLAVOURS OF THE WILD!
Our charming fishing boat Juno takes us across the peaceful waters of Lake Saimaa to a small island. Along the way, you’ll enjoy the surrounding lake nature and its quiet beauty. Upon arrival, you can explore the island with your host or simply sit on the smooth rocks and take in the scenery. With a bit of luck, you might even spot the rare Saimaa ringed seal.
While you unwind, a delicious wild food meal is prepared over the open fire. The menu follows the rhythm of the seasons and highlights local ingredients, gathered, grown or sourced from nearby producers.
There is a composting toilet at the site. The fireplace is sheltered and dining is relaxed and outdoorsy – on simple benches inside or, if the weather allows, on the lakeside rocks.
The excursion is weather-dependent; if conditions on the lake are not suitable, we will do our best to reschedule.
This wild food experience can also be arranged on land by the lake – please ask for details.
